The Rev. Rachel Erin Stuart
The Rev. Rachel Erin Stuart comes to us from Atlanta, GA, where she was the Theologian-in-Residence at North Decatur United Methodist Church and continues as a doctoral candidate in Hebrew Bible at Emory University. Her dissertation, titled “Semantic Gender in the Book of Ezekiel,” explores the relationship between grammatical gender and social gender roles in several chapters of Ezekiel. Prior to her appointment at North Decatur, she interned at Kingston UMC in the Princeton, NJ area, and at Asbury First UMC here in Rochester.
Rev. Rachel is an ordained Elder, graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2017, and returns to the area after completing her undergraduate degrees in physics, music, and religion at the University of Rochester in 2014. She is a life-long Methodist, does medieval reenactment for fun, and has a gorgeous black cat that can do no wrong.
In addition to her appointment at Victor, Rev. Rachel also works at East Bloomfield United Methodist Church, with her time divided evenly between both.
A favorite verse (or two):

Exod 15:11
And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See I am making all things new.”
